“My 1st experience with the Haiti Outreach Program”

This is a Guest Post from Bill Stone, a Sacred Heart parishioner who recently linked up with the Haiti Outreach Program!

I attended the Haiti Benefit on June 25, 2011 and what a great time I had. It was my first time attending it and it will not be the last.

To me it was more than just a benefit, it was a blessing. To see an entire community coming together getting involved in such important and worthy cause. To see all faiths, families and individuals gathering together to support a country. And not just any country, no, one that will one day will be a thriving one. To see all the individuals from all walks of life giving what they can from their hearts to help Haiti.

I pray that one day I will have an opportunity to see first hand what it is like to help out people who have less than I. Also to see the people that were involved with the program. From visiting Haiti to those who helped organize the benefit. It was such a blessing to be able to meet those individuals. I will never forget it. I hope that one day I will be able to experience what those who have gone have experienced. But in the mean time, God willing, I will do my part by volunteering when I can in upcoming events.

Thank you,

Bill Stone
